Prehistoric Playground Card (Brachiosaurus)

Brachiosaurus, the "Arm Lizard"

Ironically, the brachiosaurus was named for its disproportionately long forearms rather than its much longer neck, which it used to its great advantage in recreational kite flying. With its head surveying high above the ground, this statuesque sauropod could easily assess wind conditions such as speed, direction, and air pressure, which made steering and performing complex aerial stunts a breeze.

Folded greeting card from the Prehistoric Playground series. 5.5x4 inch greeting card with envelope. The inside is blank. The back is as shown with the artist's information.

Created by Benjamin Thompson, a local artist from Campbell River.
