Book a hands on tour at our fossil preparation lab and museum and allow your students an interactive experience like no other.
Depending on the class, we can cater the experience to touch on specific topics and tie into your classroom learning.
Available for classrooms of up to 30 students.

We will set up a display of fossils in your gymnasium and provide staff to speak to the children about fossils and answer questions. During our presentation, we provide some general information about fossils and dinosaurs plus a sneak peek into what we do at Dino Lab Inc. Next, we tell them about the fossils we brought and, depending on the audience size, we might pass around items for them to touch.
What we bring will vary each time, but we'll always have fossils, minerals, dinosaur bones and mammoth ivory, teeth or hair. We then wrap up with a Q&A session with the audience and allow anyone interested to line up to have a chance to look at and touch the fossils as they are leaving.
If you're at the elementary level, then we have some take-aways already prepared to help teachers bring the lessons back into the classroom. For example, we have a colouring page for Kindergarten classes and for grades 1-5 we can provide a sheet of questions that reference what we talked about in our presentation intro. We also often host a free form drawing/colouring contest for all of the children.
If you're at the middle school or high school level, then we are happy to discuss how we can support you in bringing the content into the classroom to extend the learning opportunity.
* For safety reasons, during the set up and take down we require the gym to be completely vacated so that our staff can do their job without distractions. We require direct access to drive up and unload/load the fossils into the gym.
There isn’t a limit on the number of students that attend as long as we have adequate space for our set up and that you provide the PA system so we can be heard.
