Heliophora sand dollar fossil

From the Kem Kem formation in Morocco, these sand dollars are from the genus Heliophora and lived during the late Miocene of about 11.6 million to today. This species is still extant (living) and can be found in West Africa. These fossil range in size between 2 and 5 cm. 

 

Some may have small cracks and damage due to the fact that they are millions of years old.
