The Ampelosaurus is a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in Europe around 70 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period. Discovered in France, this sauropod reached nearly 15 meters in length and had a long neck and a powerful tail. Interestingly, bony plates embedded in its skin provided protection against predators.
